For more than a century, Virginia's Constitution has allowed people convicted of felonies to be permanently disenfranchised unless a governor individually restores their voting rights. Virginia is the only state in the country to do so.
This November, we have the opportunity to vote on a constitutional amendment that would automatically restore voting rights to individuals upon their release from incarceration. We can ensure no one is denied their rights as American citizens.
